<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club capable of preventing adverse effect caused by a cavity in performing laser welding or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A face 3 is formed on the front, and a shaft 2 is connected to a head 1 having a shaft mounting part (neck) 8 mounted on one side. The head 1 is formed by a combination of the head body 1A and a plurality of members of the face plate 14. The head body 1A and the face plate 14 are fixed by laser welding. A projecting part 18 for preventing shrink is formed on the whole or a part of the peripheral edge part 12 of the head body 1A which is a member to be welded by laser. Even if shrinks are caused in a welding portion to recess in laser welding, the molten metal of the projecting part 18 fills the portion to prevent shrink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
