PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller for a chair in which the number of operating parts can be reduced and the operation for raising and folding of the movable parts of the chair unit can be made easy, while suppressing disturbance to relaxation of a person seated on the chair. SOLUTION: This is a remote controller 6 for a chair comprising drive devices 3, 4 for rotating the movable parts (backrest 12, footrest 13) connected capably of raising and folding to the seat of a chair unit 2 and a control device for controlling the drive devices. The remote controller 6 comprises a controller main unit 51 and an operating part (operating button) installed on the main unit 51. The main unit 51 comprises a main unit section 61 and a movable operating section 62, 63 connected to the main unit section. The movable operating section is energized so that it may be held constantly at a reference position and is provided capably of bending on the main unit section 61 in the front and rear direction from the reference position. By the bending of the movable operating section 62, 63, a command for raising and folding of the movable parts is outputted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
