PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper apparatus for stick-like articles, compatible with the speedup of a hopper drum, and also suitable to a non-wrap filter rod for cigarette. SOLUTION: The hopper apparatus comprises a hopper 2 reserving cigarette filter rods RP therein, a unidirectionally traveling endless driving belt 22 installed inside the hopper 2, and a channel 32 for the filter rods RP to flow down therethrough provided between the driving belt 22 and one of the hopper sidewalls 6. As the driving belt 22 travels, the filter rods RP made to forcedly flow down through the channel 32 are extruded toward a hopper drum 10 and successively received in a removing grooves 12 on the hopper drum 10.
