PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose constitution for improving the operating efficiency in plowing depth regulating operation in a walking type power tiller equipped with a lifting and lowering apparatus for an implement and further operation control and driving control over lifting and lowering of the implement. SOLUTION: The walking type power tiller is composed by arranging a transmission case 3 and traveling wheels 12 in the center of the machine body and further a rotary tilling apparatus 4 and a handle 22 on one side of the front and rear of the transmission case 3 so that the rotary tilling apparatus 4 can be lifted and lowered with a lifting and lowering actuator (a hydraulic pressure cylinder 66). In the walking type power tiller, a plowing depth setting means installed in an operating part, a plowing depth detecting means 73 provided in the rotary tilling apparatus 4 and an actuator 100 for changing the vertical height of a tail wheel are connected to a controlling means and the rotary tilling apparatus 4 can be changed to an optional height.
