The workpieces (P) are placed in two magazines (1,1') in an end-to-end alignment and they are fed onto first and second conveyers (2,2') where they are collected in groups (G). The workpieces in the groups stand side-by-side. Turning devices (4) may rotate the groups through 90 degrees. They move to first and second storage members (3,3') and a picker (5) moves them into packing boxes (B).
