<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern transfer film for puddings, capable of sharply transferring patterns to surfaces of solidified puddings, by contacting the film with the puddings in a liquid state. <P>SOLUTION: This pattern transfer film for the puddings is given by forming an edible dyestuff layer on a heat-sealable synthetic resin film and coating the surface of the edible dyestuff layer with a water-resisting layer which contains a mixture of shellac and zein as a main component, wherein the water- resisting layer has a weight ratio of the shellac to the zein (shellac/zein) of 0.003-2.0, when converted to solid contents, and an amount of coating of ≤4.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>, when converted to the solid contents. Since the mixing ratio of the shellac and the zein is specified and the amount of coating of the water-resisting layer is made to be optimized, the pattern transfer film is furnished with excellent machinability, so that the patter is sharply transferred to the surface of the solidified pudding, when the film is contacted with the pudding in the liquid state and then heated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
