PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for preventing scatter of punched pieces generated by a punching machine. SOLUTION: The punching machine comprises a punch unit for perforating a medium through pressing and cutting with a punch, and a dust box for receiving the punched pieces after perforation of the medium. In this machine, a receiving opening of the dust box is pressed to a punched piece discharge face of a die of the punch unit by a coil spring, and the coil spring is disposed in contact with a bottom of the duct box.
