PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set the work speed depending on work. SOLUTION: The work speed of this power tool is changed depending on the control input of a switch 5. The power tool includes a switch control input reading means 6 for reading the control input of the switch 5, a work speed setting means 1 for determining the work speed corresponding to the control input of the switch, an output frequency count means 3 for counting the frequency of occurrence the work speed set depending on the operated switch state, and a setting changing means 2 for changing the correspondence between the control input and the work speed of the work speed setting means. The setting changing means 1 changes the above correspondence according to the frequency of occurrence of work speed counted by the output frequency count means 3. The relationship (speed control curve) between the control input of the switch of the power tool and the work speed is automatically adjusted according to the work contents of the user.
