PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool with a breaker excellent in cutting chips treatment and having high fracture resistance. SOLUTION: The cutting tool 1 has the breaker 6 inclined downward to a cutting edge of a ridgeline part, on a rake face. At least the rake face part is composed of such a layered body that sheets 8 are layered in a thickness direction of the tool, and the sheet 8 is formed by arranging in parallel and integrally forming composite structural bodies consisting of a filamentous core member coated with a skin member having a different composition from the core member on the periphery of the core.
