PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a crystal oscillator which uses carbon dioxide snow, which solves the problem that a stain is generated on the crystal oscillator when the crystal oscillator is wet-cleaned and dried at a drying step using a drying apparatus or the characteristics of the crystal oscillator are changed by a thermal shock applied to the crystal oscillator at the drying step, the problem that industrial waste is generated when a cleaning liquid is used for wet-cleaning the crystal oscillator and waste cleaning liquid is disposed of and the problem that a cleaning apparatus becomes expensive because it is necessary to make the cleaning apparatus explosion-proof as safety and disaster measures when alcohol being an inflammable substance is used. SOLUTION: This crystal oscillator cleaning method comprises a step to clean the crystal oscillator by using carbon dioxide snow at least between a step to form electrodes for the crystal oscillator and an assembling step and between the assembling step and a sealing step.
