PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface preparation method which is a pretreatment to be easily performed and by which works in conditions from light degree to heavy degree are performed and excellent effect on adhesivity and corrosion resistance is attained. SOLUTION: In the coating of the surface of a base material with a coating film, the surface of the base material is previously blast-treated by blowing a projecting material composed of a resin particle and containing no surfactant.
