PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the high-temperature heat sterilization of a packaged food, by which the packaged food is continuously subjected to high-temperature heat sterilization individually or in small numbers and useless energy consumption is prevented. SOLUTION: The packaged food (bag body 100) is stored in a casing 1 and heat-sterilized in a high-temperature sterilizing atmosphere in a heating chamber 13. For example, the casing 1 comprises a casing body 2 in which the packaged food is stored and which has one open end and a lid body 5 for closing the opening of the casing body 2.
