METHOD FOR PROVIDING PERSONALLY DESIGNATED TELEPHONE SERVICE IN INTELLIGENT NETWORK CALLING CARD SERVICE

PURPOSE: A method for providing a personally designated telephone service in an intelligent network calling card service is provided to reduce a connection time required for inputting a card number and a password. CONSTITUTION: A service user connects to a service switching point by pressing a calling card connection number(S202). The service switching point transmits the service request to a service control point(S204). The service control point inspects whether a calling number is a personally designated telephone number(S206). If so, a designated card number is searched for and the possibility of using a calling card(S208). If not, the service control point receives a card number and a password by using an intelligent peripheral to inspect the possibility of using the calling card(S212-S218). The service control point requests collection of an incoming number to the intelligent peripheral for receiving the incoming number(S220-S224). The service control point inspects the possibility of executing a call of the received incoming number(S226). If so, the service control point connects a telephone call to the incoming call through the service switching point(S230-S232). If not, the service control point sends a telephone call failure announcement to the service user(S234-S236).
