PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a brush whose bristle bundles are properly aligned with excellent orientation of bristles. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the brush has a process of guiding the bristles cut into a prescribed length into a sleeve, drawing out the bristles from the sleeve, and inserting them into implantation holes at an implantation base part, or into an insertion part of a mold. The ratio of the cross section area As of the sleeve perpendicular to the axial direction, to the cross section area Ai of the sleeve perpendicular to the direction of the implantation hole or the insertion part is 1.02-1.3. The bristles are introduced into the sleeve with a density of 47-75%, and drawn out from the sleeve and inserted into the insertion part with a density of 60-80%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
