A valve assembly (1) for a flush tank (2) extends along an axis (A1), and has a cylindrical cup (8); a valve (9) having a valve body (16) integral with the cup (8), and a slide (19) movable along the axis (A1); a frame (10) located over the cup (8); and an actuating device (11) for actuating the slide (19), and supported partly by the frame (10) and partly by the slide (19); the frame (10) and the cup (8) being connected by a threaded connection to vary the length of the valve assembly (1) along the axis (A1) by means of relative rotation, about the axis (A1), between the cup (8) and the frame (10). Thus, the flush tank valve assembly (1) can be filled quickly and easily to a flush tank (2) whereby the length of the valve assembly (1) can be adapted to the size of the flush tank (2). <IMAGE>
