PURPOSE: A channel card device in an IMT-2000 asynchronous system is provided to reduce cost for increasing the capacity by increasing the capacity, not by racks but by shelves. CONSTITUTION: A processor module(110) controls whole operations of a base station channel card device. A PCI(Peripheral Component Inter-connect) interface unit(120) is connected with the processor module(110) for providing a PCI interface function. A modem(130) is connected with the PCI interface unit(120) and includes a plurality of cell site modems modulating and demodulating CDMA signals. A back plain unit(140) executes interface with other shelf through a cell bus. A TTL/BTL converter(150) executes data transformation between the modem(130) and the back plain unit(140). A cell bus interface unit(170) is installed between the processor module(110) and the back plain unit(140) for interfacing cell bus data. An inter-shelf unit is installed between the cell bus interface unit(170) and the back plain unit(140) for providing an inter-shelf data path. A clock distributor unit(180) distributes clocks provided from the back plain unit(140) into clocks required for a channel card device. |
