PURPOSE: A security system transmitting digital video signals in series is provided to improve the quality of a picture by transmitting the original digital image without converting digital video signals into analog signals. CONSTITUTION: A camera(10) photographs a plurality of video signals and converts the plurality of video signals into usable digital video signals. The camera converts the usable digital video signals into serial digital video signals for successively transmitting the serial digital video signals to a receiving apparatus(30) through a cable(20). The receiving apparatus converts the serial digital video signals into the usable digital video signals, and compresses the usable digital video signals to be stored in a memory device and output through a video output device(40).
