<p>The oscillating unit is attached to the driving mechanism by one pivot, and by a futher pivot to a mounting on the picker stick, with a layer of leather or other shock-absorbent material on the oscillating unit to bear against the picker stick. A direct linkage between the drive mechanism and the picker stick is removed to reduce wear, increase component life, and reduce the number of loom stoppages for maintenance and repair.</p> |
