PURPOSE: A piercing device for a press is provided to improve work efficiency and to reduce the cost of production by effectively selecting and controlling a couple of piercing punches as occasion demands. CONSTITUTION: A selection-piercing cover block(30) is interlocked with an upper die(6), and has a couple of insertion holes(36,38). A couple of piercing punches(12,14) are composed of a round-head unit(44,46) and a main body(40,42). Springs(48,50) are inserted between the round-head unit and the selection-piercing cover block. A selection plate(32) is movably installed at the selection-piercing cover block, and has a concave part(52) containing the round-head unit and an opening. A rack(58) is formed at one side of the opening. An electromotive motor(34) has a pinion(56) engaged with the rack, and moves the selection plate right and left.
