PURPOSE: A handoff method in a next generation network is provided to enable handoff of a mobile station moving between wireless gateways, thereby minimizing time and economical loss. CONSTITUTION: A serving CCP(Call Control Processor)(200) transmits a handoff required message to a WCA(Wireless Call Agent)(240)(S200). The WCA(240) transmits a handoff request message to a target CCP(220)(S201). The target CCP(220) transmits a handoff request ACK message to the WCA(240)(S202). The WCA(240) transmits a create connection message to a serving WG(Wireless Gateway)(210)(S203). The serving WG(210) transmits a create connection success ACK message to the WCA(240)(S204). The WCA(240) transmits a create connection message to a target WG(230)(S205). The target WG(230) transmits a success ACK message including SDP(Session Description Protocol) information to the WCA(240)(S206).
