PURPOSE: A device for transferring a pickup of an optical disk player is provided to reduce an access time and resist an external shock applied to the pickup by preventing a rack gear from separating from a lead screw. CONSTITUTION: If a pickup transfer motor rotates, a lead screw rotates and a guide feeder(4) moves forward and backward by the rotation of the lead screw. The guide feeder is combined with a rack gear(5). The guide feeder includes a spring(10) installed in a rear of the rack gear to attach the rack gear closely to bottom of thread of the lead screw. A plurality of protruded parts(11) are provided to install the spring. A separation preventing unit is extended from a lower part of the rack gear and covers the lead screw on three sides.
