PURPOSE: A device for detecting the water level of a washing machine is provided to improve productivity and water level detecting performance by directly connecting a water level detecting tube to an inlet of a drain valve. CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting the water level of a washing machine is composed of an external tub(54), wherein an internal tub(56) flowed with water is rotatably arranged and water is housed; a drain valve(60) mounted to the lower of the external tub to intermit water; a water level detecting tube(70) connected to the lower end of an inlet(61) of the drain valve and filled with air therein; and a water level sensor(80) for detecting pneumatics in the water level detecting tube and sensing the level of water. |
