PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing an ice container using ice powder are provided to allow the ice container to be easily manufactured in various shapes. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises an ice crushing part(10) crushing ice into ice powder; a refrigerator(20) installed on one side of the ice crushing part to prevent thaw of ice powder crushed in the ice crushing part; an ice container forming part installed in the refrigerator to receive the ice powder and to compress the ice powder stored therein so that the ice powder is formed into a shape of a container; a guide part(50) joined to the ice container forming part to guide movement of the ice container forming part in such a manner that the ice container forming part reciprocates by fixed distance; a rotation part(40) installed in the refrigerator in such a manner that the rotation part rotates in the refrigerator, and allowing an ice container compressed and formed in the ice container forming part moved by the guide part to be put thereon; and a plurality of cold blowers(60) installed on an outside of the rotation part, and blowing chilled air to the ice container to freeze a surface of the ice container.
