PURPOSE: A device for performing optical fiber-radio mixing bidirectional communication and a method therefor are provided to perform a duplexing function for a near satellite side mode among generated signals by using two lasers and an IF local oscillator, and to modulate into upstream signals, thereby performing bidirectional communication. CONSTITUTION: A wireless frequency source unit(11) generates a wireless frequency source signal. A master laser(12) converts the wireless frequency source signal into an optical signal. A local oscillator(16) generates an intermediate frequency signal. A QPSK modulator(14) converts source data of a user into a QPSK-modulated signal. A mixer(15) mixes the intermediate frequency signal with the QPSK-modulated signal. A slave laser(16) converts the optical signal into a non-data mode optical signal, and converts the mixed signals into data mode optical signals. An optical circulator(17) transmits the non-data mode optical signal and the data mode optical signals to an optical fiber. A receiving optical detector(18) receives an optical signal from the optical fiber.
