PURPOSE: A method for a security of a USB memory device and a method for restricting a use of a computer using the same are provided to protect data stored in an interior by a self-control of an access from an exterior. CONSTITUTION: A USB memory device having a security program and a password is connected to a computer, and the security program is loaded in a RAM of a computer through an automatic executing function(S301). If a user selects the USB memory device and tries an access(reading/writing/deleting of data)(S303), an execution file capable of inputting a password is only displayed on a monitor by the loaded security program, and an input of a password is induced to the user(S305). The user inputs a password(S307). A CPU compares the password inputted by the user with a password pre-set in the USB memory device based on the security program(S309). If the password is identified with the password pre-set in the USB memory device, the CPU records a tag which releases a security function in the RAM(S313). Thus, the user executes a reading/writing/deleting of data with respect to the USB memory device(S315). If the user removes the USB memory device from the computer(S317), the CPU deletes the loaded security program and the tag(S319).
