METHOD FOR MANAGING SUMMARY INFORMATION OF PLAY LIST

PURPOSE: A method for managing summary information of a play list is provided to more promptly output and display representative images representing play lists without searching a plurality of play list files one by one. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of play list information are recorded as a table of summary information of play lists in a separate file different from play list files of a rewritable recording medium. The table of summary information of play lists is searched for and read. Representative images corresponding to the play lists are output and displayed as a user selection menu by referring to the read summary of play list information.
