LIGHTWEIGHT HIGH-SPEED RADIAL TIRE

摘要

PURPOSE: A lightweight high-speed radial tire is provided to improve endurance, riding comfort and driving safety by applying a PEN(Polyethylene Naphthalate) cord to a carcass layer and a belt reinforcing layer of the radial tire at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A lightweight high-speed radial tire(1) is composed of a carcass layer(2), a belt layer laminated on an outer peripheral surface of the carcass layer, and a circumferential organic fiber belt reinforcing layer formed on the outer peripheral surface of the belt layer. An organic fiber cord used to the carcass layer and the belt reinforcing layer is made of PEN fibers. The fiber cord is a three-twisted yarn that is twisted at 10¯15tpi. The carcass is a one or two layer.
