PURPOSE: A punch press device is provided to absorb the shock of contact and to reduce noise by reducing relative velocity when a die face of an upper die is in contact with a die face of the blank holder. CONSTITUTION: In a punch press die, a plurality of shock absorbing units(17) are installed at the outside of a blank holder(7) and reduces relative velocity when a die face(19) of an upper die(11) is in contact with a die face(15) of the blank holder. The shock absorbing units include a housing fixed to the die face of the bland holder, a piston installed in the housing, an operation rod(29) connected to the piston, and a spring providing elasticity to the piston.
