PURPOSE: A device for adjusting the position of an arm is provided to reduce the injury of the driver caused by the inflation of an airbag by forcibly adjusting a steering wheel to a set position in a vehicle crash. CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensor(130) detects the pressure by the left hand or the right hand of a driver according to a crash signal output from a crash sensor(120), and outputs a pressure detecting signal. A control unit(140) judges from the pressure detecting signal whether the driver takes a steering wheel(110) with which hand, detects the position of judged hand, and outputs a control signal for forcibly adjusting the steering wheel to a set position. An actuator(150) forcibly adjusts the steering wheel to the set position according to the control signal.
