PURPOSE: A deflection device is provided to easily form a deflection magnetic field of a desired pattern by compensating for the change of inductance caused due to the variation of the degrees of winding of coil. CONSTITUTION: A deflection device comprises a separator serving as an insulator; a pair of horizontal deflection coils mounted on the inner surface of the separator; a core mounted on the outer surface of the separator; and a pair of vertical deflection coils connected to the core and mounted on the outer surface of the separator. The horizontal or vertical deflection coil includes a first coil portion formed by winding first and second coils(16a,16b); and a second coil portion formed by winding third and fourth coils(18a,18b) connected to the first coil portion.
