PURPOSE: An air-conditioning system for an automobile using a lying type condenser is provided to allow a sub condenser to be used. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioning system comprises a compressor(21) compressing and discharging refrigerant; a main condenser(22) condensing refrigerant; a sub condenser(23); a receiver dryer(24); expansion valves(25); and evaporators(26). The receiver dryer is connected between the main condenser and the sub condenser only when the main condenser and the sub condenser are installed in lying type. Most of high temperature and high pressure gaseous refrigerant discharged from the compressor is converted into liquid passing the main condenser thereby, and sent to the receiver dryer. The refrigerant is divided into liquid part and vapor part passing drying agent and a filter in the receiver dryer so that liquid refrigerant is preferentially discharged through a discharge tube installed deeply into a lower end of the receiver dryer. The discharged liquid refrigerant is saturated and to be completely liquid in the sub condenser.
