PURPOSE: A closed-type rotary compressor having a safety device is provided to improve reliability for a high-temperature operation of the closed-type rotary compressor by stopping the closed-type rotary compressor when over-heat is detected. CONSTITUTION: A closed-type rotary compressor includes a high pressure section(30) and a low pressure section(20), which are divided by a partition plate(10). A discharge pipe is formed in the high pressure section(30) so as to discharge compressed coolant. The low pressure section(20) is provided with a suction pipe filled up with oil. A motor(50) including a stator(2) and a rotor(3) is installed in the low pressure section(20). A rotating shaft(4) is press-fitted into the center of the rotor(3). A compressing unit is installed under the rotating shaft(4). The compressing unit includes a cylinder(5), first and second bearings(6A,6B), a rolling piston(7), and a vane.
