APPARATUS FOR KEEPING SHELF FOR KITCHEN CLEAN USING PHOTOCATALYST

PURPOSE: An apparatus for keeping a shelf for a kitchen clean using photocatalyst is provided to sterilize various harmful bacteria and remove organic components and odor components contained in the air by decomposition. CONSTITUTION: An inner layer(3) formed on the circumference of a concave portion(1a) in a shelf body(1) contains photocatalyst mainly composed of titanium oxide. At the concave portion(1a) in the shelf body(1), an ultraviolet radiation lamp(4) is installed for selectively generating ultraviolet rays. A switch(5) is attached to the shelf body(1) for turning off the ultraviolet radiation lamp(4) at once by a control portion in case a door(2) is opened and turning off the ultraviolet radiation lamp(4) by the control portion after being kept turned on for a predetermined time in case the door(2) is closed.
