PURPOSE: A telephone booth provided with a refund system is provided to realize a reasonable charge imposition in response to the use of telephone by optimally refunding the remainder except the using fee. CONSTITUTION: A telephone booth provided with a refund system includes a coin selector(72), a telephone central processor(82), a coin accumulator(74) and a plunger driving block(76). The coin selector(72) is connected to a coin inserting member(70) for notifying the amount and order of coins inserted thereinto to the telephone central processor(82). The telephone central processor(82) receives the signal of fee in response to the call of the user and informing the telephone central processor(82) of the received signal. The coin accumulator(74) stores a number of coins transmitted from the coin inserting member(70). And, the plunger driving block(76) performs the collection or refunds by driving the plunger to push out the coins stored at the coin accumulator(74). The signal of fee transmitted to the telephone central processor(82) is transferred to the coin selector(72) and the signal corresponding to the collection or refunds of the coins stored at the coin accumulator(74) is applied to the plunger driving block(76) by using an optimum refund algorithm of the coin selector(72).
