A compound or a stereoisomer, a physiologically tolerable salt or a mixture thereof has the formula (I) wherein: one or two of the Y groups are carbon atoms bonded to a group -R0-(CH2)n-O- and 0 to 3 of the Y groups are nitrogen atoms, and the remaining Y groups are carbon atoms bonded to a group R1; each L is independently hydrogen, alkylcarbonyl, arylalkylcarbonyl, arylcarbonyl, alkyloxycarbonyl, arylalkyloxycarbonyl or aryloxycarbonyl, where aryl groups present in L are optionally substituted; A is R3-O- or R4R5N-; k is 1 to 4; n is 0 to 4; R0 is optionally substituted phenyl or monocyclic 6-membered heteroaryl containing one or two nitrogen atoms as ring heteroatoms; each R1 is independently hydrogen, halogen, nitro, hydroxy, alkyloxy, aryl, alkyl, hydroxycarbonyl-alkylureido, alkyloxycarbonyl-alkylureido, alkylsuphonyl or R11R12N- where alkyl and aryl groups present in R1 are optionally substituted or two R1 groups bonded to adjacent ring carbon atoms, together with the carbon atoms to which they are bonded, form an optionally substituted aromatic ring fused to the ring of formula I and R3 to R5, R11 and R12 are as defined in the specification. The compounds are useful in inhibiting or reducing blood clotting or inflammatory response or for treating or preventing cardiovascular disorders, thromboembolic diseases, or restenosis.
