A two-handed method of cutting hair in which the hairdresser cuts the customer's hair using a cutting tool in the right hand when cutting the right hand side of the customer's hair and using a cutting tool held in the left hand when cutting the left side of the customer's hair. Also described is a both hands hair-cutting method that comprises holding a first cutting tool in the right hand of a hairdresser while holding a second hair-cutting tool in the left hand of the hairdresser, and finish cutting the customer's hair with the first and second cutting tools simultaneously or non-simultaneously using both the right and left hands, which are both simultaneously holding the cutting tools.
