摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode having high productivity, by solving problems such as carrying a metal catalyst for an electrochemical device, danger in a process to manufacture the electrode, and complication of the process. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a catalyst carrying electrode, a catalyst metal is deposited on the surface of a metal substrate by substitution plating caused by bringing the surface of the metal substrate having bigger ionization tendency than the catalyst metal into contact with liquid containing the ion of the catalyst metal, and in addition, the metal substrate is selectively dissolved and removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
