<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable information equipment whose water proofing property is ensured, and whose convenience is improved. <P>SOLUTION: A water guide groove 26 is formed on the inner face of a cover body 5 for a connector with which an opening 23 formed on the side face of an equipment main body 1 is covered so as to be freely openable/closable along the periphery of the upper side and both right and left sides, and a discharge channel 27 for discharging water introduced through the water guide groove 26 in a state that the opening 23 of the equipment main body 1 is closed with the cover 5 from the back side of the equipment main body 1 to the outside is formed between the cover body 5 and the opening 23 of the equipment main body 1. Therefore, even when water such as raindrops or water drops intrudes from a clearance between the opening 23 of the equipment main body 1 and the cover body 5 to the equipment main body 1, the introducing water can flow to the groove 26, and the flowing water can be introduced through the groove 26 to the discharge channel 27, and discharged from the back side of the equipment main body 1 to the outside. Thus, it is possible to ensure the water resistance, and to simplify the mounting structure of the cover body 5, and to simplify the opening/closing operation of the cover body 5.
