PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast mat which easily and readily patterns a wall surface or a road surface in the field. SOLUTION: The ballast mat is formed by laying a number of ballast grains on a surface of a network base member, and employs two types of ballast grains different in color, e.g. white color-based ballast grains and black color- based ballast grains. By arranging the ballast grains different in color, a pattern of birds or a lattice pattern is produced, for instance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
