PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable mass damper device applicable to a damping object of micro-vibration. SOLUTION: An electric actuator 7 capable of changing the relative position of a damping object and a mass 6 is mounted between the damping object and the mass 6, a spring force command signal XK is operated by multiplying a relative position signal from an encoder 11 by a spring constant K determined by a spring constant determining means 22, a damping force command signal VD is operated by multiplying the rate of the change of the relative position signal by a viscosity constant D of a viscosity constant determining means 27, and a control current to the electric actuator 7 is controlled on the basis of the spring force command signal XK and the damping force command signal VD.
