PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a rotary electric machine that is reducible in size by suppressing a local rise in the temperature of a rotor winding and homogenizing the temperature of the winding. SOLUTION: In the rotor of the rotary electric machine in which the rotor winding is wound around the salient part of a rotor core having a salient shape, a coil bracket having a wing shape is arranged at the axial side of the rotor winding. By this configuration, a cooling airflow is secured, the flow in a ventilation flue is stabilized, the cooling of the rotor winding at a bracket press-fixed part is expedited by the increase of a surface area due to the wing shape, the local rise in the temperature of the rotor winding is suppressed and the temperature of the winding is homogenized, and the rotor of the rotating electric machine superior in cooling performance is obtained.
