PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for checking the locking of a door and a method for setting an ID and the like, which allow the easy setting and registration of the ID and the like, and which prevent the occurrence of false setting. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a plurality of slave units 5 which are installed in a sash, etc., so as to transmit locking/unlocking signals, and a master unit 7 which receives the locking/unlocking signals from the slave units 5 so as to display a locking/unlocking state of the sash, etc., corresponding to each of the slave units 5. The system is equipped with a setting means for setting the ID of the master unit 7 in the slave units 5 by making a setting to a register mode, sequentially transmitting the locking or unlocking signals from the slave units 5 to the master unit 7, and sequentially transmitting signals, which represent the ID, etc., of the master unit 7, to the slave units 5 to which the locking or unlocking signals are transmitted from the master unit 7.
