PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method efficiently using underground heat in an underground-heat utilizing snow-melting device. SOLUTION: In the snow-melting device in which a heat exchanger 1 collecting underground heat by a heating medium circulated in the inside is buried in a ground and collected underground heat is forwarded to a radiating pipe 2, to the vicinity of which a temperature sensor 4 is arranged, through a circuit 3, to which a circulating pump 5, an expansion tank 6 and a pressure switch 7 are installed, and dissipated by the radiating pipe 2 to melt snow, the circulating pump 5 is operated when the temperature sensor 4 senses a winter set lower-limit temperature while the pump 5 is stopped when the sensor 4 senses a winter set upper-limit temperature in winter. In the snow-melting device, the pump 5 is operated when the sensor 4 senses a summer set upper- limit temperature while the pump 5 is stopped when the sensor 4 senses a summer set lower-limit temperature in summer. In the snow-melting device, the volume change of the heating medium with a temperature change is absorbed by the expansion tank 6, a set pressure lower-limit value in the circuit 3 is detected by the pressure switch and the pump 5 is stopped.
