Pyrazolopyridine derivatives useful as selective COX-2 inhibitors

A pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridin-3-yl derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivatives thereof has the formula (I) wherein: R0 and R1 are independently H, halogen, alkyl, optionally fluorine substituted alkoxy; R2 is H, hydroxyalkyl, S-alkyl, C(O)H, C(O)-alkyl, alkylsulphonyl or optionally fluorine substituted alkyl or alkoxy; and R3 is alkyl or NH2. The compounds are useful for treating a condition, which is mediated by selective inhibition of COX-2.
