<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage authenticated original papers separately from other general books. <P>SOLUTION: In this server system, terminals 2-4 owned by engineers who are book users are connected to a book management server 6 having a database 5 through a network 1. The database 5 comprises a book number storage part 11, a general book data storage part 12, and an original paper data storage part 13. The book management server registers, on receipt of a registration request for authenticated original paper or general book other than original papers based on a unitarily identifiable unique book number from the terminal side, the book number in the book number storage part 11. The management server further selectively registers original paper data transmitted from the terminals in the original paper data storage part 13 on receipt of the registration request for original paper, and selectively registers general book data transmitted from the terminals in the general book data storage part 12 on receipt of the registration request for general book other than original paper, whereby the original papers are stored and retrieved separately from other general books. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
