PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically stop an engine only in case that an operator does not have the will to continue operation. SOLUTION: After operation of a remote control valve 8 is stopped, and when a preset allowable time has elapsed and a gate lever 13 disposed to an entrance for the operator is opened (the operator has gotten out of a construction machine), a stop signal is transmitted from an engine control part 9 of a controller 7 to a governor control part 24 of an engine 1 to automatically stop the engine 1. Further, the operator is notified of the stop of the engine before the engine stops, and a power source is automatically shut down when stopping the engine. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
