PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and surely mounting an accessory on a roof, such as a dormer, in a prescribed position, even if a main roof is constituted by using a roof panel and a roof unit to which a sheathing roof board and the like are attached. SOLUTION: A rod-shaped guide material 3 is attached onto the sheathing roof board 13 with a screw or a nail 5; a place for attaching the guide material 3 is located by a mounting position of the screw or the nail 5 on the side of an attic space; a bracket cleat 4 is fixed between rafters 11 on the backside of the board 13 in this position; and after that, the accessory 2 is placed on the guide material 3, and fixed by means of a bolt 6 which is passed through the board 13 and the bracket cleat 4.
