<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel delivery pipe used in a car engine of an electronic fuel injection type capable of reducing impact waves and a pulsated pressure generated with opening arid closing of a fuel injector and solving the conventional problems on the design and manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: The exterior wall surface of a communication pipe includes a flexible absorptive surface in flat shape or in an arc of circle, and the top of a recess provided for accepting the tip of an injection nozzle inside a socket intrudes into the communication pipe to over the undersurface of a fuel passage in the communication pipe. Thereby the pulsated pressure and impact waves of the fuel flowing into the socket are reduced by deflection of the absorptive surface while the overall height of the fuel delivery pipe is suppressed. In addition, because of a smaller protruding length of the socket from the communication pipe, the error at the free end of the socket does not enlarge even if the socket inclines to a certain minor degree at the time of welding or brazing, which will decrease the necessity for a correction or building up again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
