<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-expanded expandable particle which does not include any bubbles inside, by using a recovered styrene resin product as a raw material, melting it in an extruder, injecting a blowing agent into the molten resin, extruding the molten resin containing the blowing agent into a pressurized area and cooling it while inhibiting its expansion. <P>SOLUTION: The resin containing the recovered styrene resin product is fed to the extruder and melted therein. The blowing agent and an organic solvent which has a solubility parameter (SP) of 11-14 and contains a hydroxy group within its molecule are injected into the resin. The obtained molten resin is extruded from the extruder, cooled while inhibiting its expansion and cut into the expandable particle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
