ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPMENT METHOD, DEVELOPING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developing method in which an area where a latent image is developed with toner is increased by using the entire developing sleeve as a developing area for development, in which image density in a solid part is high and in which a high quality image having a satisfactory solid ground in a solid part is obtained.

SOLUTION: A developer carrier disposed opposite an image carrier and incorporating a magnet holds thereon two-component developer containing toner having a number mean particle diameter of 3 to 7 μm by number and magnetic carrier having a weight mean particle diameter of 25 to 45 μm. The developer carrier transports the developer to a developing area between an image carrier and itself. Within the developing area, the magnetic carrier and toner are separated from each other when the gathering naps of the magnetic carrier rise, and development is carried out with the thus obtained free toner.
